For 2026 The Lee Gate Barn Garden is open

FIRST SATURDAY of every month from 

April to October inclusive, 2-6pm

Garden entry is FREE

Afternoon tea and seasonal produce and plants for sale subject to availability

Lorraine moved to Lee Gate Barn with her husband, Mark, in 2018.  At that time, the garden was simply 3/4 acre of rough grass.  In fact the first summer sheep grazed it!
Her gardening adventure began in earnest during the covid lockdowns of 2020.
 
This private garden is being intuitively created by Lorraine, assisted by Amanda, along no-dig, biodynamic principles.  It is planted with unloved and pre-loved plants, trees and shrubs, and we are growing more from seeds, divisions and our own cuttings - there's lots of learning going on here!
Every month offers something new, hence our opening each month so you can track through the season if you wish.
Garden entry and parking is FREE
NO DOGS please
FOR SALE (we love cash, but can take a card, mobile signal permitting)
* Refreshments: Cake and unlimited tea available all afternoon £5 (gluten free, dairy free and vegan options)
* Plants and produce subject to availability
HEALTH AND SAFETY!
This garden includes an unprotected pond, uneven paving, sloping grass paths, prickly plants, some poisonous plants and seeds, glass greenhouses, molehills and divots in the grass, lumpy woodchip paths, areas under construction.
Please ensure children are supervised at all times.
You are warmly invited to wander around. There are a number of areas already created although not yet mature:

4th July - The Great British Tea Party.  Voluntary entry donation of £5 per person is invited for National Garden Scheme Charities
